Dad's Birthday- By Jessie Pritchard
I woke up. I had blurry eyes. I called for my daddy. I felt dizzy in my head. The lights were on. I felt happy. I gave my dad a hug. It was my daddy's birthday today. We haven't given him his presents yet. We will give him his presents after school. I can't wait!

Ice Skating, By Monique
On Saturday me and Vasti had a freezing day, because we went Ice skating. It was as slippery as a slug. We saw ice, white-cloud boots and a DJ.
He said that there was going to be a race. So Vasti zoomed like a racing car to the ramp. She was so fast that she won!

After that we had hot chocolate and hot chips.
"Home time!" said Vasti's mum. So I went home and Vasti went home.
"Hi mum, hi dad!"

"Hi cupcake!" said dad.
"How was it? "Fun!" I said.

Yesterday we had an exciting afternoon. We made some interesting discoveries and asked quite a lot of questions about movement. At the same time we got to play and experiment with nine movement experiments and activities. We explored movement concepts and including gravity, friction, leverage, push and pull and flight. Here we are in our immersion learning:

Over the last few weeks we have started training up for our yearly Cross Country event. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings we have been training. We run a modified track around the field and down into the nature trail. It's quite muddy and reeeaaaallyyy tiring, but each time we run we are able to run a little bit further and for a little bit longer. Our training is sure to pay off in Week 5 when we run the actual track that will take us up into 'Lady Phoenix Reserve' behind the school.
Here we are training:

We learnt how to use some cool circus equipment and also learnt some really cool tricks too! After morning tea we went back to the classroom and recorded our scientific discoveries and wonderings about movement in relation to our circus routines. It was a really cool learning experience!!
